I'm not going to a day by day travel log. That would be way too long and boring for you all I'm sure. I've decided to just do park by park but starting with getting there and the resort we stayed at.

Black Friday dawned cold and dark as we sped through the early hours of the morning long after the deal finders were out and shopping. We briefly thought about heading to the stores before leaving but that thought was quickly eliminated. Derek's aunt and uncle were taking us to the airport so we didn't have to pay for parking. As we sat in the house waiting for the carseat to be moved and the car to warm up I realized that I forgot Hyrum's sippy cup at home. Derek's aunt was nice enough to lend us one she had for the trip. Thank heaven for them.

After the nightmare that security with children is ( especially in the winter )we settled into the airplane and got ready to go.

Derek had ripped some movies onto his ipod before we left so that Hyrum could be entertained while we were on the plane. He got some snacks and got comfy.

The flights ( we had a layover on the way) went well , Hyrum fell asleep on our final decent into Orlando and I couldn't keep him awake with him having to be buckled. So he got a twenty minute nap we hadn't planned on him having. We were hoping to get him on Orlando time quickly by not having naps but as it turned out it didn't matter too much.

They had shuttles (The Magical Express) from the airport to our resort. Our bags were being sent directly to our room so we only had to bother with the stroller and our carry ons. It was seriously so nice. They showed us a little video to get us excited about our trip as we traveled an it wasn't long before we arrived at our resort. We dropped off our things at the room and went to the restaurant at the main building to get something to eat. We were on the meal plan while we were there which means that we get a counter service, a table service and a snack for every night we were there. We could have used a counter service that night but we were worried that we'd run out...in hindsight we totally should have used the counter service and not paid an insane amount for a pretty basic meal. We had counter services left over at the end that we were scrambling to use. While we were eating Hyrum noticed in the corner of the very large room a Wii system set up and kids playing golf bowling and baseball. After dinner we headed over there to check it out and Hyrum was in seventh heaven watching the games being played. He clapped, cheered and exclaimed "AL- MOST" as they played.

It was dark by the time we made it to the resort but found the playground and played a little before heading back to the room. Hyrum LOVED it. I never did get a picture of the little playground and we only managed to play on it once while we were there but every day Hyrum asked to go slide at the park.

Little did he know that we were headed for much bigger parks every day we were there.

Since most days we were going to be there we wouldn't have breakfast and Hyrum is a bit of a wild card of whether he'd eat when we were eating, I loaded his suitcase with snacks and breakfast foods. We ended up with a little food storage in the room.

The resort we stayed at was All Star Music. Each building at the resort was decorated with a different music theme: Calypso, Jazz, Broadway, Country and Rock. This was the front of the building we stayed in.

It was basic but it was perfect for us. What we hadn't planned on was how disturbing it would be to sleep in the same room with Hyrum. He talks in his sleep. And laughs! The first night we were there he must have been having a hilarious dream about Derek because he was full on laughing and saying "OH DADDY!" and laughing some more. It took us awhile to get used to the noise but after a couple late nights and early mornings we were able to sleep through everything.
