This last weekend we reunited "The House of E" (AmY, SunnY, PennY, and JulIE) We were roommates for a relatively short time but we had SOO many fun times. We met at BYU campus where we walked around (and saw Pres Uchtdorf shopping for his grandkids at the bookstore) then headed off to see our psudo roomate RuthIE who just had an adorable baby boy that we all fawned over. Through all of this I had my son and not my camera. I was kicking myself. So when we went to do pedicures I ran to get my camera because Hyrum was not going to sit still for an hour for me to get my toes pampered. The next stop was to our old apartment to see if they'd let us reminisce.
And they did! They still had the same carpet and same couches eight years later. I was the only one who slid the wall.
Yeah....that's not attractive
Next we went to a chick flick all together. We bought our tickets early but we didn't think to get there too early. So we were in the second row. It was a good thing it wasn't an action movie. Amy left her car at the old apartment and driving back together in my old Neon (that I had when we were all together) was surreal. It totally felt like old times. Good times. That night we spent hours looking at pictures and watching an agonizingly embarrasing video of two weeks of our lives in December. Almost every time the camera was on the time read around midnight or later. We laughed and groaned and screamed. The whole night felt like when we were single and crazy. And we went to bed after one in the morning.
The next day we got ready and went to celebrate another friend we'd known since the single days birthday ( as it turned out a couple days early)
We had another late night and it was an early morning on Sunday. After church Amy came down with her darling little boy and her hubby and there were more pictures to be looked at and another viewing of the video.
Then we separated once again promising to get together more often in the future.
Not only were friendships renewed but new friendships were formed. Hyrum LOVES Penny. Which might have something to do with the fact that she SPOILED him ROTTEN. She bought him practically everything he picked up. And he LOVED her.
But that doesn't explain the love he had for Parker (Amy's little boy). He just kept kissing Parker on the head and hugging him. Hyrum thought he was the BEST. He even read books to him.
Until next time ladies!! Long live "The House of E"!
